The Pain to Performance Plan is our most comprehensive rehabilitation and training programme for athletes and active individuals who want to remove pain, recover from injury or surgery, and elevate performance in a single, joined up process.
Available online or in person, this service integrates physiotherapy, rehabilitation, and strength and conditioning into one clear plan with no guesswork. The FIT4FUNCTION team manages every stage of your journey, from calming pain to rebuilding function and developing high performance capacity, so you know exactly what to do, when to do it, and how to progress safely and effectively.

Your rehab plan is fully bespoke, delivered through our coaching app with exercise videos, progressions, and tracking so you always know exactly what to do.

Every exercise has a comprehensive coaching video. These videos give you a demonstration of each exercise alongside coaching cues, where you should be feeling the exercise and things to avoid whilst doing the exercise.

No — you do not need to be an elite athlete to work with FIT4FUNCTION.
We work with a wide range of people, from recreational exercisers and beginners returning from injury to dedicated amateurs and elite performers. What matters is not your level, but your goal.
Our role is to help you:

perform at your best in your chosen activity or daily life

No. While we are based in Sheffield, we work with clients nationally and internationally.
We support athletes and active individuals both in person in Sheffield and online via remote consultations and coaching. Many of our clients follow hybrid models that combine virtual sessions with periodic in-person assessments. We also work with teams and organisations on a travelling or consultancy basis when required.
If you are not local, you can still access:

In short, geography is not a barrier. You do not need to be Sheffield-based to work with FIT4FUNCTION.

Yes. We offer Strength and conditioning as a core part of our approach to Personal Training.
We integrate S&C principles into rehabilitation and also provide standalone performance programming for athletes and active individuals who want to improve strength, speed, endurance, or return-to-sport readiness both in-person and online. Make sure to check out your options for individualised in-person, online and hybrid performance coaching services. As well as the programs available through our training app.

Most private health insurers will contribute toward or reimburse physiotherapy, but coverage varies by provider and plan. Some policies require a GP or consultant referral; others allow self-referral.
