Iaia’s mission is to make brain training an essential part of every athlete's journey. Iaia wants athletes to recognise the power of training their mind with the same commitment they give to their body. Through this work, she empowers athletes to perform with confidence, clarity and purpose — in sport and in life.

Iaia is an Accredited Brain Performance Coach (NLC) with an academic background in Cognitive and Clinical Neuroscience (MSc, Brunel University London) and Psychology (BSc, University of Bergamo), alongside experience as a sport coaching tutor and mentor.

With a foundation spanning psychology, cognitive neuroscience, and applied sport coaching, she works with athletes to strengthen key mental skills that directly impact training and competition performance. Iaia supports athletes in overcoming mental blocks, developing focus under pressure, and building a confident, resilient, peak-performance mindset, helping them turn challenges into strengths and perform consistently when it matters most.

The 8-Dimension Assessment is the foundation of Iaia’s coaching approach.

Developed from psychology and cognitive neuroscience, it evaluates eight key areas that influence performance:

The eight dimensions assessed include:

  • Focus & Attention – the ability to maintain concentration and make clear decisions under fatigue, pressure, and distraction.

  • Emotional Regulation – managing stress, frustration, and nerves to stay composed in high-demand moments.

  • Confidence – trusting your preparation, body, and ability to execute when it matters.

  • Self-Talk – identifying and reshaping internal dialogue that influences performance and recovery.

  • Motivation – sustaining commitment, consistency, and engagement across training and rehabilitation.

  • Self-Awareness – recognising patterns, triggers, and responses in real time to adapt effectively.

  • State Management – entering and maintaining optimal performance states on demand.

  • Visualisation – mentally rehearsing skills, scenarios, and competition environments to prime execution.

This framework allows us to deliver targeted, practical mental performance strategies that support athletes returning from pain or injury, building robustness, and performing consistently at their highest level.
